The redbuds have bright pink flowers that coat the branches in spring after all the other spring trees are done blooming. Adorable heart shaped leaves with colors like lime green or burgundy purple that hold on through the fall. When they finally drop, the colors are breathtaking with bright yellow, oranges and burgundy. The redbud ranges in size from very small, 5-6' to 25-30'; there's the right sized one for any garden. My favorite are the Flame thrower with green and maroon leaves and the Ruby Falls with the weeping purple leaves, Heart of Gold is nice for the lime green leaves in a dark corner. Redbuds like full sun or partial shade, so are a good alternative to Japanese maples. They do require good drainage.","tags":"Featured","url":"https://lmnwdemo.boringonian.com/redbud.html","loc":"https://lmnwdemo.boringonian.com/redbud.html"},{"title":"Crimson Meidiland Rose","text":"Crimson Meidiland Rose is a low growing blooming masterpiece of flowers! Each flower has a brilliant yellow center with cherry red petals; much showier than the single tone of most Meidiland shrub roses. The Crimson Meidiland also sports bronze foliage in the fall and red rose hips until the birds eat them in the winter. The Meidiland line of shrub roses was bred for disease resistance and extensive reblooming. The Crimson Meidiland spreads out along the ground 4' wide, smothering the weeds, it can also be planted along a hillside for erosion control. A quick trim in late winter will keep these beauties full and looking their best. Underplant these roses with Walker's Low catmint for a vibrant color combination all summer. At 15% off the Crimson Meidiland is only $17.70 this week for a #5 plant.","tags":"Plant Of The Week","url":"https://lmnwdemo.boringonian.com/crimson-meidiland-rose.html","loc":"https://lmnwdemo.boringonian.com/crimson-meidiland-rose.html"},{"title":"Tiger Eyes Cutleaf Staghorn Sumac","text":"This showy plant is a great way to add some life to a smaller area. The foliage starts a light green in the spring and turns to a powerful orange in the fall. This Sumac grows three to six feet tall and wide, requires partial to full sun (4-8 hours) and thrives in well drained soils. We recommend planting this as a small specimen in a pot on a patio, or in the ground to add some color to a sunny part of your yard! The Tiger Eyes Sumac would also go great with some of our Orange Sedge Grass. After our 15% off plant of the week discount, the price comes out $37.33!","tags":"Plant Of The Week","url":"https://lmnwdemo.boringonian.com/tiger-eyes-cutleaf-staghorn-sumac.html","loc":"https://lmnwdemo.boringonian.com/tiger-eyes-cutleaf-staghorn-sumac.html"},{"title":"Baby Cakes thornless blackberry","text":"BabyCakesthornlessblackberryisaBushelandBerryintroductionofaselffertiledwarfblackberry.Thesweetfruitproducesanenormousharvestspreadoveralongperiodoftime,andwillproduceasecondharvestduringamildfall.Thecolorfulberriesproduceonlushgreenfoliage,makingtheBabyCakesaperfectadditiontoapotonapatioforeasysnacking.TheBabyCakesareonsalethisweekat15%offfor$23.45fora#2plant.WhileyouareherecheckoutourBushelandBerryandstandardblueberriesthata
