+Hessei Cotoneaster is a highly ornamental plant that can tolerate neglect and poor soil.
+This deciduous shrub is just starting its fall color with maroon to purple foliage.
+When the leaves drop the architectural stems will hold their red berries in winter.
+In late spring the plant is covered with small pink flowers,
+and the following red berries form a nice contrast to the shiny green foliage.

+Hessei Cotoneaster can grow in part shade to full sun.
+It also tolerates poor soil, is unaffected by salts, and drought tolerant once established.

+Hessei Cotoneaster is great for stopping erosion of a hillside,
+and it is very striking planted en masse.
+This low growing shrub is 2’ high and will grow to 4’ wide.
