Orange Rocket Barberry adds both structure and color to the year-round landscape. Berberis are extremely easy care plants in our Pacific Northwest climate; they are tolerant of salt and pollution, need minimal supplemental watering, and look better unpruned. Orange Rocket has a unique shape getting 4-5’ tall and only 2-3’ wide, so acts as colorful exclamation mark in the garden.

The new leaves emerge coral, remain orange in summer, and turn bright red in fall. The shaded, inner leaves are a brilliant lime. Orange rocket also makes a stunning thriller plant in a pot, for those that don’t like to replant annuals every year. Our orange rockets are in bloom right now with their small yellow flowers,

and also add interest in the winter with their spiny stems and bright red berries.
The Orange Rocket Barberry are on sale this week for $21.70 for a #2 pot.
