it blooms in the late summer/through fall when most other flowers are spent,

||
or are rusty yellows and reds. Beyond Midnight is a sturdy fall sub-shrub

||
that looks fantastic contrasted with the bright colors of coneflower,
|
||
the rustic colors of sedums, and placed in front of tall fall grasses.</p>
