If nothing else, this is one to grow just for the jaw dropping scent of the
flowers this time of year! The Purple Leaf Sand Cherry is a true low maintenance shrub.
It isnt picky about soil or moisture, so long as it isnt planted in boggy soil.

The purple leaves make a nice accent shrub for a garden that doesnt have enough contrast
in foliage colors, and looks particularly vibrant planted with some Spirea or ornamental
grasses at its base. Unlike some purple shrubs that turn green in summer heat Purple
Leaf Sand Cherry stays purple, and has red fall color.

Perfect for the florist out there looking for some added interest to their bouquets🌹.
Purple Leaf Sand Cherry can be used as a deciduous hedge or limbed up for a small tree as well.
It grows 6-10 tall and 5-6 wide.
This is an extremely low maintenance shrub, which responds well to pruning, but does not need it.
